Full Time – Program Director

Bright Horizons is looking for a reliable and caring person to fill the O’Neill Program Director position. To manage O’Neill staff, programs, and budgets.  To assess O’Neill advocacy programs relative to the needs of survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, and staking adjusting or supplementing programs as necessary to better meet the needs of survivors.  To provide advocacy, information, referral services, court advocacy, case management, and follow-up services to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking.   To provide enhanced advocacy to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking through collaboration with law enforcement, probation officers, prosecutors, and courts, along with medical and counseling organizations.

Qualifications: Dedication to the goals of Bright Horizons, an interest in and knowledge of issues related to domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence and stalking, ability to work sensitively with survivors and their children in crisis situations, experience in successfully and sensitively providing services to domestic and sexual violence survivors and their children, knowledge of court procedures and the criminal justice process, ability to maintain confidentiality, ability to handle crisis situations calmly and effectively, ability to work independently as well as cooperatively with staff, volunteers, and community organizations and their representatives, supervisory experience, organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills, budgetary competence, grant writing experience, computer skills, maturity, honesty, and a non-judgmental attitude, self-motivation and ability to work without close supervision, valid Nebraska driver’s license with no more than three points assessed, automobile insurance, and vehicle, and at least 19 years of age with a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in sociology, psychology, or counseling, or equivalent experience.
