I was fortunate to be able to attend a one day training in Kearney on June 19th. The first half of the day focused on Coordinated Community Response Teams. Ideas were given to improve communication, teamwork and trust between agencies, and enhancing collaboration for improved victim safety and offender accountability. In the afternoon information was presented on the effects of recent changes in state legislation on protection order service, enforcement, and case law, identifying and discussing protection order challenges as well as how protection orders uniquely interrelate with other state and federal laws. Great day of training!
