How parents can prevent Bullying:
Explain Bullying
Tell them you don’t want them to take part in mistreating another student at any level,
however big or small. Students who come from families that oppose bullying accept
that bullying is wrong and are less likely to bully.
Forbid Bullying
Do not allow any type of bullying at home and deal firmly with any attempts by siblings
to bully one another.
Encourage Positivity
Encourage your child to see the positive side of other students rather than expressing
contempt and superiority.
Model & Encourage Respect
Model and encourage respect for others as well as behaviors and values,such as
compassion,cooperation,friendliness,acceptance of difference and respect.
Report Incidents
Report all Incidents of bullying that you are aware of, not just incidents that happen to
your child. Don’t continue any child’s silent nightmare by saying nothing.
Respect & Confidence Are Key
Talk about respect and help children distinguish between people who care about their
well being and those who don’t. Children require the confidence and skills to avoid
people who dont treat them with respect.
Help Build Friendships
Help your child build and maintain caring and genuine friendships. This may mean taking
an active role in encouraging social activities such as after school plays and sleepovers.
Explain Rights Of Others
Emphasize seeing things from others point of view and the rights of others not to be mistreated.

Explicar Bullying
Diles que no quieres que participen en maltratar a otro estudiante en ningun nivel, aunque
sean grandes o pequeños. Los estudiantes que provienen de familias que se oponen al
bullying aceptan que el bullying esta mal y son menos capas de intimidar a otros.
Prohibir Bullying
No permita cualquier tipo de intimidacion en casa y dirija firmemente cualquier intento
para intimidar a otros Hermano/a en casa.
Animar La Positividad
Anime a su niño ver el lado positivo de otros estudiantes en lugar de expresar su
desprecio y superioridad.
Modelar Y Animar El Respeto
Formar el respeto para los demas asi como de comportamiento y valores, como
compasion,cooperacion,simpatia y aceptacion de diferencias.
Reportar Incidentes
Reporte todos los incidentes de bullying que usted conoce, no solo los incidentes
que le suceden a su hijo/a. No continue con las pesadillas silenciosas de los
niños diciendo nada.
El Respeto Y La Confianza Son Claves
Hable sobre el respeto y ayuda a los niños a distinguir entre las personas que se
preocupan por su bienestar y las que no. Los niños requieren la confianza y
las habilidades para evitar a las personas que no los tratan con respeto.
Ayudar A Construir Amistades
Ayude a si hijo/a a construir y mantener amistades comprensivas y genuinas.
Esto puede significar tener un papel activo en las actividades sociales como
juegos despues de la escuela.
Explicar El Derecho De los Demas
Hacer entender ver las cosas desde el punto de vista de otra persona y
el derecho de los demas a no ser maltratados.
