Monday night support group with Jessica talked about how to stop negative thinking.
“ANT’s” stands for Automatic Negative Thoughts. They are the voices that automatically argue against compliments you receive, or swat your hand away when you pat yourself on the back. ANT’s are buzz kills, always trying to drag you down. It’s not your fault that they are there -they’re likely the product of things it would take a professional therapist to dig out. Bottom line is this: you deserve love from those around you and from yourself. Let yourself get in a space that allows for the strength to move forward with your life. Your ANT’s are keeping you from exactly that. These nasty pests deserve to be squashed and discarded and never heard from again. We’re are going to instill positive reactions that will serve us by becoming aware of the reactions that hold us back, and redirecting them to more helpful ones instead.

“Aplastando tus hormigas”
Significa pensamientos Negativoos automaticos.
Son las voces que discuten automaticamente
contra los elogios que recibes, o alejan tu
mano cuando te das palmadas en la espalda.
Las hormigas son ruidosas, siempre tratando
de arrastrarte hacia abajo. No es tu culpa que
esten alli; es probable que sean producto de
cosas que un terapeuta profesional podria
desenterrar. La conclusion es esta; usted
merecere el amor de quienes lo rodean y
de usted mismo. Dejate entrar en un espacio
que te permita la fuerza para seguir adelante
con tu vida. Los pensamientos negativos
te impiden exactamente eso. Esta negatividad
merece ser aplastada y descartada y nunca
mas saber de ella.
Cada vez que comienzes a tener estos pensamientos
automaticos negativos, recuerda el hecho de que
pensar asi no te llevara a ninguna parte
Traiga este pensamientos positivos y alentador
para reemplazar el negativo.
